Overview

This wine is made with Albariño grapes, from a vineyard more than 50-years old in the town of Dena, in the Rías Baixas. The harvest takes place at the end of September, a time when the grape has a higher sugar level. The extraction is done without any maceration and is fermented with its own yeasts and then transferred to very old 750-litre casks for a year. It is bottled without clarification or filtration.

Tasting notes

The nose shows aromas of medlar, ripe peach, pear skin with slight hints of bay leaf and ripe golden apple. On the palate it is fresh, encompassing, with certain saline touches and a long acidity. The mixture of both elements shows a citric combination that makes the wine, if possible, even longer.
